This song was written by Thamarai for Vaaranam Aayiram, rendered by Sudha Ragunathan. It features Priya and Surya as Priya and Surya respectively. :D It is one of the best Tamil songs I have ever heard (which is not many). It is especially good because of its highly poetic and metaphorical lyrics. Several interpretations exist, the intrepretation in he following post is mine.
Context : Priya loves Surya. She proposes to him. Surya keeps saying that his one and only love was Meghna who is dead and he cant love anyone else. But suddenly, one fine evening, he says he loves Priya now.
In this song, the mind of Priya is talking to her. She has doubts if Surya actually loves her. Though she surrenders to him, she is still in two minds if its all good for her. Her Mind is asking her to accept Surya as the love of her life.
